:: BOOK LOAN AND RETURN METHODS ::
LOAN

Find the book in the Catalog and make a "Loan Request".
To collect:

  • You can go directly to the library at the Front Desk during opening hours.
  • You can collect via locker by booking the service via the email that arrives as confirmation of the loan request. You will receive a locker unlock code via email.

The loan period is 15 days and you can request up to 5 volumes at a time.
In the absence of a reservation by other users, you can request a further 15-day renewal

RETURN
  • In person at the front desk during opening hours (Monday - Friday 9:00-17:00)
  • Through the return box located on the landing of the 1st floor (Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM).
    The books must be carefully placed in the return box, codes are not needed.
    As soon as we collect the volumes, you will receive an email confirming the return.

:: BIBLIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
INTERLIBRARY LOAN AND DOCUMENT DELIVERY ::

The interlibrary loan and document delivery service (provision of articles and book chapters) is intended for institutional users of the Department of Biology and Biotechnology (students, PhD students, grant holders, researchers, professors) who are looking for material that is not present or not accessible in the library.

To use the service, you must register with NILDEthrough this link, answer YES to the question "Do you have an IDEM-GARR institutional account?", select Sapienza University of Rome from the drop-down menu and enter your institutional credentials.

The library provides the interlibrary loan and document delivery service to Italian or foreign libraries that request it via email, through ILL SBN, or NILDE. The textbook section (DID) is excluded from interlibrary loan.

PRESTITO INTERBIBLIOTECARIO METROPOLITANO (PIM)
Are you looking for a fiction book, a tourist guide, a popular essay, a film DVD?
The Sapienza libraries participate in the Metropolitan Interlibrary Loan (PIM) service, promoted by the Public Libraries of Rome Capital.
Find the book you are interested in in theMunicipal Libraries Catalog and send us the request by email, we will take care of having it delivered to Sapienza and you can pick it up at our office. The service is valid for resources not owned by the Sapienza libraries.

 
:: RESEARCH SUPPORT ACTIVITIES ::
The library provides a research consultancy and support service aimed at all professors, researchers, grant holders, PhD students and students of the department, dedicated in particular to the insertion and validation of products in the IRIS catalogue and to the application of the university Open Access policy.
 
:: SPECIALIST REFERENCE | BIBLIOGRAPHIC SEARCH ::

Are you starting to write your thesis? Do you want to know tools and resources to guide you in bibliographic research?
Book an appointment at the specialist reference service! From Monday to Thursday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM. You can choose the meeting method, in person or remotely (via Meet).
