Stem Cells and Organoids

The Stem Cells and Organoids facility was created thanks to funding from the University under the 2022 Equipment Call. This infrastructure, housed in the basement of the General Physiology building (CU026), consists of an integrated platform for the generation, cultivation, differentiation, modification using genome editing techniques and characterization of stem cells and organoids. The instrumentation currently available includes a special laminar flow hood with an integrated stereomicroscope equipped with a camera and a heated surface (IVF hood) and other instrumentation for cell cultures, including orbital incubator shakers specifically designed for the generation and long-term culture of organoids.
