Degree: Bachelors
FOOD AND INDUSTRIAL BIOTECHNOLOGY
The Course, providing adequate foundations in basic and specialized subjects, adequately prepares students for entry into technical roles in the field of production and control activities in the industrial and agri-food biotechnology sector. The planned training activities, in addition to classroom lessons, include many laboratory activities useful for acquiring that "know-how" essential to complete the preparation of the biotechnologist. The Degree course provides excellent foundations to profitably tackle further levels of training in the same fields.
BIOLOGY
The Course aims to provide a solid education in basic and characterizing disciplines in Life Sciences, as well as skills in specific methodologies and technologies in the fields of scientific investigation, with the aim of ensuring that future graduates are adequately prepared to understand the cellular and molecular aspects underlying biological processes, to know living organisms and their relationship with the environment in which they live.

CELL BIOLOGY AND TECHNOLOGY
The course aims to deepen the knowledge of Cellular Biology and its applications with particular reference to Cellular Technologies in the microbial, plant and animal fields. In particular, it provides an advanced and integrated scientific preparation of Cellular Biology and Technologies and applications in broad areas of relevance to the biologist such as pharmaceutical, immunological, microbiological, food, agronomic, cosmetic and bioenergetic. In favoring the internationalization processes, the course of study includes a valid path for the achievement of the double Italian-French degree, on the basis of specific agreements with the partner university.
BIOTECHNOLOGY AND GENOMIC FOR INDUSTRY AND ENVIRONMENT
The Course aims to allow the deepening of the most recent biotechnological knowledge and methods and to train a professional figure who covers roles of responsibility in the design and implementation of activities based on advanced biotechnological methodologies in the sector of basic research and its applications in agriculture 4.0 (agritech), in the energy industry, green chemistry, cosmetics and food and in bioremediation and innovative environmental monitoring.
GENETICS AND MOLECULAR BIOLOGY
In recent years, there has been a spectacular development of genetics and molecular biology, two disciplines that have progressively integrated and now represent the central and unifying theme of modern biology. These disciplines are used together to dissect and understand the genetic-molecular bases that regulate the realization of complex biological processes such as development and cellular differentiation in both animal and plant systems; furthermore, the understanding of these mechanisms can allow us to understand how the malfunctioning of genes is related to the onset of human pathologies.
NEUROBIOLOGY
The course stands out as one of the few programs of its kind in Italy, making it innovative by definition. The teaching staff is made up of experts from the Faculties of Science, Medicine, Pharmacy and Psychology of the university, characterized by diversified and complementary scientific training and skills. To this fundamental core are added researchers and teachers active in the field of Neuroscience, operating both in local research institutes and in other regions.
FOOD SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
The inter-university master's degree course (La Sapienza - Università della Tuscia) aims to provide advanced knowledge and train professionals suitable for carrying out complex coordination and direction activities related to the agri-food sector, as well as the ability to guarantee, also with the use of innovative methodologies, the safety, quality and wholesomeness of food. It is divided into two curricula: Food Technologies and Quality and Valorization.
PhD Course
PHD COURSE IN CELL AND DEVELOPMENTAL BIOLOGY
The PhD course in Cellular and Developmental Biology is an Innovative Interdisciplinary PhD that aims to provide high-profile and highly interdisciplinary training, because it is based on widely diversified conceptual and methodological approaches.
PHD COURSE IN GENETICS AND MOLECULAR BIOLOGY
The educational objectives of the Doctorate in Genetics and Molecular Biology are to create researchers capable of operating with scientific originality and methodological competence in the most modern and advanced sectors of basic and applied genetic-molecular disciplines, both within the University and at Public and Private Research Institutions, Biomedical Research Institutes and Industry.
Master
SCIENCE IN JOURNALISTIC PRACTICE
The Master's course aims to provide students with theoretical and practical training aimed at understanding the languages ​​and strategies of science communication. It is divided into lectures and workshops, including one for the editing of an online scientific journal, which take place over the course of an academic year. The lessons take place over the course of one week per month.
BIOLOGY OF NUTRITION FOR THE HUMAN REPRODUCTION
The Master aims to create a training path aimed at providing advanced theoretical and practical notions on the biology of nutrition applied to reproduction. The main objective of the Master is to explore the influence of foods and additives or contaminants on the state of health and well-being of humans.
